Bio: JOHN ANZALONE has nearly 20 years in the polling business helping candidates, associations and corporations all across the country with message development, strategic planning and targeting.  John has helped build a firm that now represents a U.S. Senator, fourteen U.S. Congressmen and dozens of other statewide and local elected officials in over twenty states. In 2006, Anzalone Liszt Research beat more incumbent Republicans (five) than any other polling firm in the nation.  He has regularly worked with the DCCC, DSCC and the DGA.The Washington Post recently called the Anzalone Liszt Research one of the “hottest in the nation after the 2006 cycle” and John Anzalone “the best pollster you’ve never heard of.”  Anzalone is regularly quoted in The Washington Post, Roll Call, Politico, The Los Angeles Times and the national Associated Press.  Anzalone was the pollster for two 2008 special election victories for Democrats in the South, Don Cazayoux (LA-06) and Travis Childers (MS-01).Anzalone started his own polling firm in 1994 and has offices in Washington, DC and Montgomery, AL.  Anzalone was a campaign operative whose experiences include working for national democratic strategists James Carville and Paul Begala in U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg’s (NJ) 1988 campaign and managing gubernatorial, congressional and mayoral races.  He began his political career as a research assistant to David Wilhelm (who later became DNC Chairman) at Citizens for Tax Justice, and then went on to manage campaigns in five different states, before concentrating his energies on polling for campaigns. John is married and has four children.

Bio: Jeffrey Liszt, a native of Charlottesville, Virginia by way of the University of Chicago, is still trying to figure out how he ended up living in Alabama.  Jeff has over 10 years experience in polling.  He joined Anzalone Research in 1999, and became a partner in 2001. Jeff represents incumbent U.S. Congressmen in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and has worked with the DGA and DCCC.  He has extensive experience with state legislative races, helping Democrats recapture Senate chambers in New Jersey and Illinois, and expand their majority in North Carolina.  He also represents municipal clients from Denver to Philadelphia. Jeff has conducted focus groups for gubernatorial, congressional, municipal, corporate, and non-profit clients. He lives in Montgomery, Alabama with his wife and mandolin.

Bio: Marc Silverman serves as Anzalone Liszt Research's Senior Associate.  Marc oversees questionnaire and message development, performs in-depth polling analysis, is involved in strategic planning for campaigns and oversees client relations.  Marc has worked extensively on Congressional and statewide campaigns as well as with the DCCC.  Prior to joining Anzalone Liszt Research, he spent several years managing Congressional and statewide campaigns.  Marc practiced law at Arnold & Porter in New York City and worked on telecommunication and energy policy in the White House during the Clinton Administration.

Bio:   Jane Hinsley serves as Office Administrator of Anzalone Liszt Research. She oversees all Anzalone Liszt Research business and administrative operations; including accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor relations, contract management, scheduling and human resources. Jane previously worked for the Cunningham Lindsey Insurance Group via assignments in Knoxville, Tennessee, Louisville, Kentucky, and Montgomery, Alabama.

Bio:   Joon Suh joined Anzalone Liszt Research in March of 2006 after interning at the Alabama House of Representatives.  As Research Supervisor, he works on candidate campaigns and referenda.  Joon grew up in Flushing Queens, New York and recently received his Master of Public Policy Administration degree from Auburn University.  He also has an MBA from Auburn University and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2003 with a B.S. in Psychology.

Bio:   Carlie Alexander is the Project Director at Anzalone Liszt Research.  She tracks the status of multiple polling projects from their inception to their completion, ensuring that they are completed in a timely manner.  Prior to joining Anzalone Liszt Research, she was the state Alzheimer's Project Coordinator at the Alabama Department of Senior Services.  She holds a Master of Public Administration from Auburn University Montgomery and graduated summa cum laude from Faulkner University in 2003 with a B.A. in English.

Bio:   Stephanie McDaniel is a Project Coordinator at Anzalone Liszt Research.  In this capacity Stephanie works to ensure that all projects are conducted in a quality and efficient manner.  She comes to Anzalone Liszt after serving as Program Coordinator for the Teens As Parents program, a non-profit pregnancy prevention organization, in North Carolina.  Stephanie graduated summa cum laude from Troy University with a B.S. in criminal justice.

Bio:   Zac McCrary serves as an associate with Anzalone Liszt.  Zac serves in a support capacity in areas including questionnaire development, polling analysis, and client communication and support.  He joins Anzalone Liszt Research after serving as the Communications Director for the Alabama Democratic Party during the 2006 election cycle.  A contributor to Campaigns and Elections magazine, Zac was also the creator and publisher of AlabamaElections, which was a leading outlet for Alabama political news and analysis on the internet.  He holds a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science from the University of Alabama and also sits on the Board of Directors of Conservation Alabama.

Bio:   Becky Shepard is a research analyst at Anzalone Liszt Research.  She is responsible for providing background research and producing analytical reports for statewide, congressional, and issue campaigns.  Becky is a recent graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in political science.  She interned with Congressman Bud Cramer in his Washington D.C. office and worked on Democratic campaigns in her hometown of Huntsville, Alabama.

Bio: Jeffrey Ioimo is a Research Analyst at Anzalone Liszt Research. He is responsible for client research and aiding in the development of analytical reports. Jeffrey is a recent graduate of Auburn University where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. During his years at Auburn, Jeffrey served as the Auburn College Democrats’ President, and the Alabama State Federation of College Democrats’ Membership Director. He is currently obtaining his Master of Public Administration from Auburn University. Jeffrey has worked on several campaigns in Auburn, Alabama and around the State of Alabama.

Bio:   James Richardson is a Research Analyst at Anzalone Liszt Research. His responsibilities include preparation of statistical reports and analysis of statistical data. James is an alumnus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he graduated with a master's degree in mathematics. His primary areas of mathematical interest are partial differential equations, stochastic processes, and the actuarial sciences.

Bio: Garrett Bamman is from Montgomery and will be a sophomore at Washington and Lee University next fall. He appreciates the opportunity to work for the firm in the months leading up to the Presidential election. Past responsibilities include breakfast, collating paper, updating partials, covering the phone, and assembling Anzalone Liszt's new office table. His favorite thing to do at work is to punch holes in papers-to-be-filed while watching Euro 2008 on mute. While he expects Russia to bring it home, he maintains: Go Spain!

Bio: Joe Fine is a junior at the University of Alabama and is a native to Montgomery, Alabama. This is his second season at Anzalone, Liszt Research, and is looking forward to helping the firm in this monumental election year. The Crimson White have describe Fine as "one of the top quarter half percentage interns in the Alabama field." He is a Scorpio, and enjoys lake Martin. His Euro team, the Netherlands, failed in the quarterfinals.
